Drone Field Spraying Indonesia

Reading a pesticide label before drone spraying

The label is the most important document in your chemical store.

Registration number

A legitimate pesticide carries a Ministry of Agriculture registration number under Permentan 43 of 2019. No number, no spraying.

Rate per hectare, not per tank

Drones use much less water, so the tank mix is more concentrated. What has to stay right is the active ingredient per hectare on the label, not the usual knapsack measure.

Pre harvest interval and target crops

Check which crops are listed and how many days before harvest spraying must stop. If your crop is not on the label, ask your extension officer first.
